Dream

6:56am JST Monday 13 October 2008 (day 14082)

Arrived back at the camp, and was climbing on some posts which caused them to break I didn't mind at first, but then I realized they were perfect for people to grab onto a rope that was suspended over the dirt area in front of the wooden porch. I was like, "oh man; I just broke these two posts!" and my companion was like, 'what did you o?" and I go, "I was just supporting my weight with my hands" which shouldn't have broken them; all my weight was essentially straight down.

I could see the crack in the wood where it had broken; it would go back together perfectly, but have no strength to stay in place. Unless we had a lot of glue to slather on it. But being out in the middle of the woods, we didn't have many supplies.

But, then I noticed a train line nearby, lke quite nearby the porch, so I could actually wave to people o the train and they could see me cause I was so close. The track turned in such a way that I could see the front of each car that came by and wave to the people seated in the front seat for the driver's front view. A coupld trains went by and then a shinkansen came through and I was all excitedly waving to people who were waving back. Then the last car didn't even have a shell around it, but was open like a kiddie train the a park. I waved and the woman in the very last left hand seat (the train was going by from right to left, and I was on the left side of the train) was like, "my coat!" meaning, "there's the guy who helped me find my coat!" and I was like, "wow!" partially because it was great to be recognized, and partially because I didn't remember finding anyone's coat. I had some candy in my pocket, and I threw a piece to her, but it missed. The train slowed down as it went around some corners in a hallway, and I took the opportunity to yell my domain name so she could email me. I was like, "Rob Nugen Dot Com!" and she turned toward me as the train turned right around a doorway and she fell out of the train.

oops! She was trying both to hear what I was saying and catch the train, but wasn't able to do either. I pressed the emergency stop button (have always wanted to do that) and the alarm sounded in the rock-filled hallway where the tracks were located. I noted the alarm stopped blaring pretty quickly, so I was going to yank the switch that turned off this section of track, but I saw there were cops already talking to the woman, so they must have the situation handled and turned the alarm off themselves.

Walking

4:47pm JST Monday 13 October 2008 (day 14082)

Walked around with Ami after a lazy lazy holiday (not sure why we have the day off, but we do..). We held hands and played and it was generally nice. She even climbed into the small river (concrete ditch) and we walked along the water until we got to the end, guarded by some ducks.

Saw a great spider as well. Wow.

ami angry

4:49pm JST Monday 13 October 2008 (day 14082)

Ami headed home ahead of me to P, and I joined her in my room with ice cream. She was laying on the bed and I straddled over her and ate ice cream, feeding her small amounts when she opened her mouth. I tried to let some ice cream slide off the end of the spoon into her mouth, but it was frozen to the spoon and didn't move.

Tried it again with some meltier ice cream and she said, "ちゃんと下さい" which I could translate as "carefully, please," or "be exact," but I missed and it ended up on her neck.

I said, "sorry" and ate the ice cream and helped clean her neck. She wiped it cleaner with her shirt and refused to eat any more.

I climbed off her and asked if she was angry at me.

"Yes."

"Why?"

"I said ちゃんと下さい。"

"I said I was sorry."

Silence for a bit. How do I help her realize there's more to it than this? I've dropped ice cream on many necks in my time. Most times it's just funny.

Oh shit; I know what it could be. She's now 美血子; it's that time of the month.

Rob, how can I make myself understand there's more to it than this? Hugs are in order. bye!

Helped her up off the floor, gave her unrequited hugs, then kisses, then etc. During the etc, I had a slight panic, "oh snap; I've got I-group today!" It was just before 5:30, so still had time to finish an abbreviated etc. Quick shower and now on the train headed to I-group.

i group

9:55pm JST Monday 13 October 2008 (day 14082)

Didn't meet at Enio's tonight; we tried, but there was no one available to let us in. So, we (Michael, Kevin, and I) visited an Indian restaurant in Ebisu, the same one where Kevin and I have eaten at least twice before.

Mostly talked about Kevin's housing plans, or lack thereof. He'd like to live in Europe, but has no guarantees about getting a visa yet. They're looking at Kamakura and such; he'd like to get his 1.5 year old closer to nature than their small apartment in concrete jungle.

Also talked about ideas for website enhancement, trying to get a more professional, multilingual website. Michael and I both had some recommendations.
