Entries this day: Beginning Billing_is_great ami tariq Beginning 10:15am JST Wednesday 29 October 2008 (day 14098) I sent two semi-related emails this morning. One was asking Kevin if he could do ISIS sessions for me, given that Helma is chillin' in Australia for a spiritual retreat. If he can, I'ma ask Kumi if we can do the sessions at her apartment. It's between Kevin and I, and she's been doing ISIS too, and also can't work with Helma at the moment for the same chillin'-in-OZ reason. The other email was to Traci, owner of Billing is great 7:36pm JST Wednesday 29 October 2008 (day 14098) Been focused on the billing project for a while, and today I finished the ability to edit the invoices, and all the itmes at a time (instead of having to save each item individually). Near the end of the day, Sho and Malek were talking about some billing stuff they need to do. I believe Sho is a bit attached to the way he's been doing billing for the past couple of months, whereas Malek was like, "well can't we just use the new system?" That shone the light on me; fortunately I had everything in a state where it was usable, even though it's not yet perfect. (I've added some fields to the invoices, but they aren't reflected in the PDF output (which simply hard codes the most common values).) I was like, "yeah; I'm pretty sure it will do what you want it to do." So Malek asked me to show him through the system as it stands. I showed him how to add a company/contract and then create invoices. He was quite happy with it, and within about 15 or 20 minutes had done three invoices for three different entities, including some variants which show where there's still some work to be done on the system, but it's still built enough to work around those deficiencies. I'm quite happy that all the hard work I've put into it has worked out well. permalinkami 9:36pm JST Wednesday 29 October 2008 (day 14098) Ami was chillin' at my apartment when I got home. I had purchased foodage for us, and she cooked while I worked on some flash stuff for project with Tariq, and checked Yurika's transcription. Before that, though, she told me about her dream in which I basically said I wanted to break up so that I can have more fun. Hmmmm! Hmmmm? Hmmmm. Dinner featured tuna-cabbage-spaghetti and easily washed dishes. We let friskiness take over after dinner for a quick romp, and then snooze for a bit until time to meet Tariq online. permalinktariq 11:06pm JST Wednesday 29 October 2008 (day 14098) Tariq cancelled until tomorrow morning. permalinkprev day next day |
