Telling a story about Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, I was standing outside with several of my friends watching raptly from the makeshift audience in a driveway. I loved that they were so intent on listening to the story as I told it, even though they had all read HHGTTG and had all heard the story before. They cheered me on, and when someone arrived a bit later, I told the story again, trying to make it a bit different

Chatted with Dude a bit about the new project on which he's requested my help. He's done way more than me so far, but I did point out an issue with his planned DB structure. We suggested some adjustments to make it simpler, yet extendable, and ended up choosing one that will be quite easy to code, and simply be a rewrite when it's time to re-code.

I was alone at work for a significant portion of the day. During that time I cranked up my music and had a nice groovin' workplace.

Workwise, the invoice payment screen now can accept payments of any size, and apply them to invoices as needed, although when creating new invoices, neither the credit nor balance due of past invoices is taken into consideration. That's the main task for tomorrow.

Another task may prove a bit more tacky to tackle; there's a bug in the way I display payments; I tried to write some sweet code that handles three different cases, including "backtracking" while only looping once through the list of invoices, but it doesn't quite work yet. 2.5 of the cases are good, but one of the cases doesn't work half of the time.
