In a building, in which a war was being planned, we good guys were building our own economy and resources of art and paper. People were all pitching in, and I was in some sort of leadership position, but at the same time encouraging others to find their own soverignity. In the room, we were safe, and the doors on each side sometimes had activity behind them, but we didn't always know who was there. Good guys or bad guys were equally likely.

In a war battlefield, though it was a forest not a field, and the hull of a burning jet had just crashed through the trees and to the ground next to me. The tree through which it had come started to burn, but stayed upright, and then caught the nearby trees on fire as well, filling the forest with smoke.

In trying to escape the smoke, I went down the hill and came to a road, where I dared not show myself, so I backed up to the edge of a clearing where the bad guys were there with guns and one of them saw me. He said sneeringly, "well there's the piano man," and pointed his rifle at me. He missed the first time and I tried to scramble away backwards, and he kept shooting and I realized I should be able to fly, but wasn't able to as I woke up.

Getting ready

I woke up pretty early due to sleeping early, visions and memories of war war war in my head. I traced it back to BK and someone talking about their military experiences (boot camp more than battles) while we were on the bus headed from Kagoshima downtown to its airport.

I did some email; I'm getting swamped in emails. 150 in my inbox at the moment, but to about 50 of them I don't need to respond.

Xmas party with GET

Great time with GET and peeps from PB. Man I want to sail again, *and* I got an inside tip saying that there have been no repeater teacher applications for the voyage that leaves in April. If I *don't* get the Kagoshima thing, sailing on PB would be an awesome way to not have a stable job. Wow.

Pania is the coordinator for the trip. But maybe I should stay in Tokyo and study Japanese for an intensive course and then sail as a paid coordinator. Hmmmmm

Great fun meeting peeps, and then greater fun when we cleaned up and chowed a gingerbread house and then hula hooped for basically an hour. I could hula with my legs and arms and neck, but not with my waist. Weird! Yumi was doing great; she and Jonathan (sp) could do a booty bouncy hoop, and Pania put on Funky Cold Medina which fit the booty dance pretty well.
