Colleen's painting

9:00pm JST Monday 23 February 2009 (day 14215)

Today, after getting the staples taken out of my scalp, I took Colleen's painting to a place that could scan it. I'll get a CD of the data tomorrow. I told them I want to print posters of it, so I hope they will scan it with enough dpi to make a nice poster.

Lawson's for a nap

9:02pm JST Monday 23 February 2009 (day 14215)

Called Kevin to see if I could hang out at his house until i-group; he said he was too busy with moving in two weeks, but he would see me tonight.

Called David to see if I could meet him somewhere before i-group; he said he would call me when unbusy.

I remembered that I haven't been to "my" Lawson's in a while, so I headed back there to get a snack and ended up sleeping in the lounge in the back of the store.

Met David

9:12pm JST Monday 23 February 2009 (day 14215)

Met up with David in Ebisu, and went to a coffee shop he likes. I had a bagel and two mugs of hot water (the server first gave me a little paper cup of hot water and noticed it was hot so was getting me an insulator, and I'm like, "um, how about a mug?" and she agreed that was a good idea.

David told me about the movie in which he's been acting, and for which it sounds like he's been writing and partially directing. Sounds pretty sweet! I told him about the pickle in which I find myself with Ami (if we break up, you cry, and if we stay together, I cry), and said eventually I would realize enough is enough and write the proverbial Dear Jane letter.

Triangle i group

9:05pm JST Monday 23 February 2009 (day 14215)

Michael chose not to come again tonight, citing his back pain. Kevin emailed at the last second, saying the perfect house they found in Kyoto turns out not to be perfect.. They just got a call saying "no foreigners, no exceptions." C'mon, Japan, grow out of your racism.

So he chose not to come, saying on top of packing, they've got to go back to Kyoto to find a place to move! eeek!

Takeshi, David, and I had a good small circle.

My work was relatively self-directed, and resulted in a list of things to do!

  1. develop a spending plan

  2. call 2 more modeling agencies

  3. contact 2 IT agencies (Romen, Skillhouse, and perhaps Jennifer's)

  4. ask Tariq and DJ Marvin each about visa to work at Gaba

  5. brainstorm with Jesse

  6. contact Michael

  7. contact Enio

  8. email Sach
