Entries this day: Felt_bad,_out_of_trial_maybe Good_progress Puzzle Felt bad, out of trial maybe 9:05am JST Sunday 28 June 2009 (day 14340) I might be out of the trial in a week; I nearly passed out when they checked my blood pressure. My theory is that when I stood up quickly after having my supine blood pressure tested, that's what did it. (*) Cause when I got up earlier in the morning (5:30am) and did it slowly (roll over, crouched while writing morning pages, sit down to computer and then walk to breakfast at 6:30), I had no problems. (*) I had fallen asleep during that 20 minutes and then she was like "okay stand up" and I stood up. Did three blood pressures, the first was at 8:23am, and I don't have the data still/yet. The second was at 8:24 during which I was feeling woozy and then feeling terrible during the third at 8:25. Soon as it was over I had to lie down and the 8:27, 8:28, and 8:44 checks were while I was supine again. time pressure ? PR BPM 8:24 103 / 61 72 (A) 114 8:25 72 / 36 41 44 8:27 138 / 68 99 (M) 42 8:28 142 / 90 101 47 8:44 124 / 75 87 59 Now, when I first was in the trial, I remember my resting heart rate was about 44, and my standing was about 76. After we started taking the medication, my resting was at 76, and my standing was 110. I didn't take the medication today, and I think I'm going to be sent home in about a week. I'm happy about that, but feel a bit guilty. And Oh So So Hungry right now. We just ate at 6:30 am and I'm super hungry again. 2.25 hours until lunch. permalinkGood progress 5:08pm JST Sunday 28 June 2009 (day 14340) Feeling better, and making good progress with Cow-Go site. I think we'll do it in Joomla! instead of Drupal or Wordpress. I basically coudln't find a good enough calendaring thing for Wordpress, and couldn't even get a good start with Drupal. BUT, assuming the Japanese version of Joomla! works well, I'm going to go with it. Thanks to Soness for helping keep me on track. 5:17pm JST Sunday 28 June 2009 (day 14340) Okay, now unzipping the Japanese version of the Joomla tarball (actually it was a .zip file). 6:25pm JST Sunday 28 June 2009 (day 14340) I should change this entry to "Great progress!" I now have the Japanese Joomla! site up, plus all the calendar things installed and working. Hmmm, thank you Joomla! 6:26pm JST Now: dinnertime. permalinkPuzzle 9:41am JST Monday 29 June 2009 (day 14341) Yesterday I was like, "welp, we better work on this puzzle," to Jon and so last night Jon and I invited people to work on the 1500 piece puzzle for an interesting diversion to our days here. With 8 people helping overall, but 5 total at a time for 2.5 hours, we had about 15 person-hours spent on it got 300 pieces placed. Dang. Not even close. Well, close to a good start, but a lot of the work was forsaken when we had to clean up the dining room table for the night and though Jon and I were on the same wavelength of carefully moving the pieces upstairs, the Japanese just swept all the unplaced pieces into the box willynilly and all mostly randomly and chaotic. Damn. By mostly-random I mean we could probably find sections of same-color pieces in the 3-D pile if we were to excavate them like archaelogists, but that would take even more time. Hmmm. I uploaded all the pics to my pic distribution email, and I saw them in my inbox (right?) but I don't see them on twitpic. Not sure why. permalink |
