Entries this day: Changed_address Gordon_Novel Lunch Maniatta Takadanobaba Changed address 10:37am JST Wednesday 8 July 2009 (day 14350) Right now I'm changing my snailing address to Chez Soness. 4:43pm JST Wednesday 8 July 2009 (day 14350) Done! Actually I've been done since before 11am, but... permalinkGordon Novel 12:52pm JST Wednesday 8 July 2009 (day 14350) While cooking lunch, I watched the first thirty minutes of an interesting video of Kerry from Project Camelot interviewing Gordon Novel: permalinkLunch 1:13pm JST Wednesday 8 July 2009 (day 14350) Lunch was yummy; I had the other half of my calzone from last night. Cooked another calzone for Soness and I; she got home from work around 1pm and chat-n-chewed. permalinkManiatta 1:33pm JST Wednesday 8 July 2009 (day 14350) As we were approaching the station from outside, our train arrived. Fortunately, it's a pretty long train (15 cars), so it takes a while to arrive. And it stops infrequently, so it stops for a bit at each station. We zoomed up the stairs, beeped through the ticket gates and heard the-train-is-leaving music start as we were at the top of the escalators. I zoomed down and just caught the doors as they were closing. The guy opened them for me, but Soness wasn't yet aboard as he closed them behind me. I knew he'd do that so I stuck my foot in the door to make sure she got on. That's what we call まにあった. Not sure if there's kanji for it. Well there's kanji for it, but not sure if it's the correct meaning (間に合った). permalinkTakadanobaba 5:05pm JST Wednesday 8 July 2009 (day 14350) Right now in JMW meeting in Takadanobaba; I'm basically just been writing today's entries as the entire discussion has been in Japanese. And I'm probably not going to be here for JMW. 5:25pm JST I told the group about Phillip Gayle, who'd be a great performer to have in JMW. Soness is set to MC the second half of the meeting starting at 6pm. Pretty much, supporting her is the only reason I'm here tonight. Once we move upstairs (we're currently in B1 of Shimizu-Octo's first / satellite office (not sure 'zactly), a studio of sorts, with hardwood floors, quietly securely closing doors, nine light-boxes of bright fluorescent lights with ten tubes per light box), I'm going to seek an electrical outlet to charge my computer so I can watch the rest of the Gordon Novel vid. Ah dang; I don't have my charger. 5:35pm JST Jon just gave his latest ticket idea: each event will have tickets available at ticket outlets in Tokyo, and then those tickets can be exchanged for wristbands that will be tagged with that event's code (which will give them guaranteed access to that event) but also allow likely free or discounted entrance to any other JMW event. permalinkprev day next day |
