Soness and I have been hanging out all day; starting with talking to her mom in the morning on Skype and then heading to our respective job things (more on that in a sec) and now at The Pink Cow meeting peeps including Moonie, Mallory, Traci, David (of course), and then new peeps: Q, Prince, Paul, Kenny, Mel and several others, all from a Berlitz branch here in Tokyo, celebrating Prince's time working there

Right now we're at The Pink Cow; we were the first to embark on the delicious buffet, and now the house is pretty full with aformentioned party, plus another party. Soness is talking to David now I think; I enjoyed talking with Moonie a bit, and with Q (cause he was wearing a shirt that said "California Barefoot" or something like that), through whom I met his coworkers Paul, Prince, and boss Kenny. Soness was funny, describing Mel's name for me as "あっ！メール " which went along with "ah" or something because she had just put a bite in her mouth when I asked her name.

Work starts Monday

Several AWESOME things about my new work:

1. The building is located near a recycling center at which I could stand for hours watching them dump paper and cardboard into a big conveyor belt machine that picks it up and dumps it into a mysterious pit.

2. The building is located quite close to the New South exit of Shibuy station, which is the exit that directly serves the Shonan-Shinjuku Line (that includes the path from Chez Soness to Shibuya).

3. The building is located overlooking some train tracks about which I recently dreamed I was overlooking.

About that last one, Soness actually remembered the dream when I told her about the building. Then we were both like, "WOOooooww.." for about 3 minutes. I mean, who knew that coulda been taken as a prophetic dream??

Today, included in all the paper they were dumping, I found several discarded books, including a few of which I might like to read!

Not sure if/when I will register them on Bookcrossing (I'd start right now, but have no internet access).. ooh I might try to register them all really fast to get near-sequential numbers for them all. That could be fun!

Anyway, PHP & MySQL, Doctor Zhivago, Angels and Demons (Dan Brown), Awaken The Giant Within (Anthony Robbins), The Eye of the World (Robert Jordan), Time Flies (Bill Cosby), Introduction to Bhagavad-Gita (A.C. Bhaktiveanta Swami Prabhupada), and Prabhupada (Satsvarupa Dasa Goswami) which is a book apparently about the guy who wrote the previous book in the list.

I created Fred's account on Facebook. He outsourced that task to me because he didn't want to take any time to maintain a presence accessible via http.

okokok Someone lookedme up on fb the other day, and I was all oh hey! that's a brand new train
station in Tokyo; noticehow close the track is to the floor and how I'm standing RIGHT WHERE THE
TRAINS go!  anyway, I downloaded the iPhone fb app, and I can't log in!  (obviously). and this girl
was all, well just click that ("forgot ur pw" buton) and I'm all no, see, u don't understand.  and
she'sall, whaaaaat? u never see what ppl say and stuff?  they like message u and u never reply? and
gave me this weird look like I hadsprouted a third eye.

SO.  u probably told me this already (onlyjustnow thoguht to look through my emails and no way am I
deleting all this typing I justdid onthis phone), but what's my uname/pw?

note: ido NOT want you to change the email, or actually make any changes. I just want to LOOK at the
page throgh iPhone.  IF the interfaceis acceptable, I MIGHT start interacting thru it.  butone step
at a time.

why do you crazies play mafia wars instead of racing live (an identical game with different icons
and strings)?it has a pic of a lamborghini on the splash screen; therefore it's clearly better.

Duh!  Because as mafiasts, we make enough money to buy many Lamborghinis!

haha! yeah that's basically the only reason I play.  I've found a few soft targets that I pokefor
money and then log rightback out everycouple hours.  I make like a half mil to a mil and about one
level every day.  I'm on level 22 and have 3.2M.  the best car available at this level is a Porsche
911.  next is an Audi a8 (I think). not sure when the lamborghini shows up, but it's somewhere
between levels 22 and 200 (the max)!
