Bike parking

I felt a bit embarrassed going in to bike parking, so I unnecessarily asked "where is parking?" and the guy goes "yes," and I go, "where is parking?" (a bit passive-aggressively) and he goes, "yes, ah, 3rd floor."

The above is in English, but the actual conversation was in Japanese. On my way up the ramp, I was thinking, why would he answer yes to my first question? and realized he could have thought I asked, "anywhere is parking?" and the correct answer would be "yes," so it made sense.

The conversation was actually

「どこでいいですか。」

「はい。」

「どこでいいですか。」

「はい。あっ、三階です。」

I think that's the correct kanji for 'さんかい' meaning 3F, or 3rd floor.

Day begins with b

Went to the beach today, though not a lot of energy to rock hop all over the place. Wondering if I am just sore / tired / or, getting old??? surely not me!

Just to let you know, I watched the beginning of a video featuring Alex Collier talking about an event that will happen in February, March, or April... One that will likely wipe out two-thirds of the world population!!!!! So you better get ready, 1997!!! (the vid was recorded in 1996)

I'm on the 500 yen extra train with my reclining seat. I think I'll recline and sleep. 30 minutes remain to do so.

is her name Soness

Hahahaha I really enjoyed the moment my new friend Yuri goes, "is her name Soness?" when I described my friend down in Chigasaki. Awesome.

I had chosen a seat down by the stage for vegan night at The Pink Cow, and Yuri was the first person to join me. Based out of Australia, she's a tour guide for Interact (I don't know if Interact has more than one base of operation), and led a tour in Japan recently, and has another coming up next week.

YK joined us after a bit, and it was just before then that the great question came up. I told YK, but it turned out he was not sure to whom I was referring.
