Bike parking

woah.

Not sure what to make of what just happened. I rolled in to bicycle parking today, and one of the guys beckoned me to a spot right on the ground floor, "inside" the building. Prime parking! Like Presidential Parking! OMG what have I done? I have no concept of what it implies that I was given such a great spot, but in my mind I've been rewarded for bad (pissy) behavior from two days ago and a bit from yesterday.. ohhhh what, oh what does it all mean?

Are they scared of me? Are they apologizing to me? Should I bring them a delicious tasty present? Just ignore it? Any suggestions from Japanese culturally aware friends would be appreciated.

Just finished the work I planned to finish at work today. It was basically copy-n-paste (with appropriate code-surgery and some other tweaks) so I had a good sense for how long it would take. Definitely good that we did the most difficult one first, although there are actually a few tweaks (DB joins) that I need to do for this one as well, but they should be easy enough to do. I'm considering doing them this weekend, but goodness gracious why work from home when I'm not getting paid extra? Meh, I may do it because I'm about to ask for some time off to meet Brook and Ryoko to get them started on their Cow-Go adventures in English lessons.

kana meeting

Met Kana for the first time after meeting her at The Pink Cow on Sunday. Explained The Cow Go system to her and answered her questions. We'll try to get her hooked up with the optimal teacher for her study requirements. I'm thinking Mallory may be the best choice.

Maniatta is the romanization for what I think is the correct spelling of the phrase meaning "just made it," 「まにあった」

I just made the 9:36pm supa-express train for Chigasaki. Not sure if it's a supa-express, but it's the one that skips the most stations between here and there that I've found so far.
