Get thee to a ginko

Just as my meditation time was up, my brain had said, "get thee to a ginko" and ginko means bank in Japanese, so "go to a bank" seems to be the message. Hmmm.

Soness

Soness is back in town! She went to Hong Kong for NLPT training (training to be a trainer), which is something I've been interested in trying for myself. Seems like I may be able to!

She apparently arrived in Haneda around 5:45am, and has a fitting at 9am, and then rehearsal, and then teaching her kids' class at 4pm. Busy busy day!

leaving the rat race

Went to a presentation by Brad Hall(?) called "leaving the rat race," in which he basically described his steps from Wall Street to Maui, where he converted some used up land into a lush farm with all variety of yummy food. That's exactly what different peeps have been saying, "get off the grid before the shtf."

Met Michaela and Crysti, who both happened to have taught classes for kids with unique requirements for normalized living. In Crysti's case, she had 18 kids in a class (where the legal limit is 12), and in Michaela's case she had classes where each kid had a dedicated para-professional with them all the time (in school). Wow. I thanked them both multiple times for their efforts.

As I was leaving the rat race presentation, I saw that Soness had asked if I could bring home a burrito. Eeep! Too late! Gotta catch my train!

Told her my work news about glorious free time, and she's excited about the possibilities for TJ Bike trip around Honshu. Me too!

3. human powered energy source to gps and phone

4. Tokyo north along east coast, then south along west coast. Hokkaido? Wakkannai?

train stopped

Good thing I rushed to get this train! The announcer was like, "in a moment, we'll be arriving at Chigasaki," and the train slowed normally, and then slowed suddenly and stopped, about 200 meters before the platform. And we've been here for 12 minutes, by my reckoning. Nice way to stay out of the sloppy snowy rain!
