Entries this day: Dream_Gymnastics Get_ready Let's_try_Thai Next_try Dream Gymnastics 5:19am ICT Monday 10 May 2010 (day 14656) In a gym with trampoline and TV in one side showing what was being broadcast in the gym, a fog started to come in trhrough the window and some of the girls were like, "wha???" and I went to the window to see what was coausing it, but couldn't tell. I checked the TV screen and the air around me to see if they looked equally foggy, and then I realized that the trampoline would possibly be all wet. I could hear my voice on TV as I said, "the trampoline is probably wet" ans ran over to it. Jumped on fro some slippery fun. It was wet at first, but soon dried out as I was doing flips and stuff. One guy was trying to mess me up by holding the mat in a weird way, but I could feel him messing with it, and told him to stop. Then I noticed some of the springs were off so I was fixing them when I woke up. permalinkGet ready 5:37am ICT Monday 10 May 2010 (day 14656) Ah! I've got a solution for my UTF-8 woes.. I'll declare today May 10th, to be the day I switche to UTF-8, and now alllll my previous journal entries that are stored in Shift-JIS will not work if they have Japanese characters in them. Then I can either do a hack that tells my indexer to treat dates before this date as Shift-JIS and dates after this date as UTF-8, as a temporary fix, and then later later actualy re-encode the files. Okay. But first, I gotta put in my contats. Oh, and this entry is called Get Ready cause I gotta get ready for school, but first gotta get ready to go to immigration office to try and sort out my educational visa. I'm on tourist visa now. permalinkLet's try Thai 6:07am ICT Monday 10 May 2010 (day 14656) I've set my input types to include Thai and Thai - PattaChote. Now, English: 1234567890-=qwertyuiop[]\asdfghjkl;'zxcvbnm,./ Except that I removed from the Thai listings the characters that showed up as empty rectangles. Okay, now let's try to save this in UTF-8. Done. Now upload... 6:16am ICT Okay, it looks like bollocks, which is what I suspected, but if I view the character set as UTF-8... it looks correct. Now to set my journal.pl file to output UTF-8 6:39am ICT Perfect. Now when I view today's entry, the encoding is in UTF-8, and yesterday's entry, the encoding is EUC-JP. Now to make sure I can have both Japanese and Thai in the same file/day: これは日本語でございます。 permalinkNext try 6:51am ICT Monday 10 May 2010 (day 14656) Okay, this buffer should allow Thai ทงงกงกนานาเนา and Japanese: ヘロー! Yay!! permalinkprev day next day |
