Entries this day: Case_of_the_missing_sandal,_solved_by_having_breakfast Synchronicity flowers Case of the missing sandal, solved by having breakfast 7:45am ICT Saturday 15 May 2010 (day 14661) The case of the missing sandal opened with the front door to my dorm. I looked at the place where I left my sandals last night and saw my right sandal, but not the left. Every other pair of shoes was a pair. I looked briefly in the entry way, under the shoe shelf, and around the shoe shelf, but my left sandal seems to have left. I was reminded that Shara brought only one shoe to school yesterday, so couldn't go running afterward, but that's surely a coincidence... 9:38am ICT Saturday 15 May 2010 (day 14661) Christine joined me at breakfast, and we talked about A Course in Miracles and, semi-unrelated, Eckhart Tolle being really cool *all the time*, while Deepak Chopra has a different vibe when on-stage or off. We headed back to our dorm and *bing*! Two sandals! wow! Ahhh... I see tooth marks and a bite missing from the left sandal. Mystery solved. Thank you, Imm Eco staff for knowing from where the sandal had come! permalinkSynchronicity 1:44pm ICT Saturday 15 May 2010 (day 14661) Today, being a lovely day for lazy activities, found Christine and I at the pool after breakfast. I brought A Course in Miracles, and she brought a couple of books, including _Seven Laws of Money_, which I loaned to her. It got too warm for Christine around 11:40am, and I came in about an hour later. Was reading a bit about forgiveness, and I realized I hadn't fully forgiven Shara for not showing up last night. I called her and she was like, "where were you???" and I go, "I was there! Where were you??" and it turns out I was at the wrong Starbucks! Yes, she had specified the other, but because I didn't know there were two, I ignored the specification she had made. Sigh. My bad. The synchronicity is that she had just gotten up 10 minutes before I called, having been out until 4am. permalinkflowers 12:29am ICT Sunday 16 May 2010 (day 14662) to: janette flowers Hi mate!! I've been having fun for sure in Chiang Mai. I'm living in a lodge called Imm Eco, with great swimming pool, free breakfast and wifi for $9 per night. Massage school is 5 minutes' walk away, and class is great with cool classmates from around the world. Just tonight we went to the riverside bar for bevvies, though I didn't stay for the after party! hahaha Tonight was also a flower festival, with crowds of people and great food. Coolest thing was seeing them pour tea into a tube and wheel it up on ropes to pour it out on top of the Buddha hill. Quite interesting "tea ceremony!" Too bad we didn't have an interpreter or guide. I saw some flowers I thought you would like, but nothing reallllly like omg wowwwww. just lots and lotsa flowers. Love Love Love - Rob!!!permalink prev day next day |
