Last night saw LA for maybe the last time. Chatted with her a bit, seeing her pictures from Anchorage, Alaska, which she loves. She loves the nature, and loves to talk about the beauty in Alaska. I enjoyed just talking with her and her smile. Gave her a big hug (stable hug with no patting on either back) and namaste.

Saw LA again this morning in Imm Eco reception. Now we've just shared probably our last hug for a while. She's off to Nong Khai to volunteer teach at a school or something for a couple weeks or more. I think she'll be back, but maybe not before I'm gone.

Lek elephant sanctuary

Headed back from chilling with elephants today at Elephant Nature Park, the home of 31 elephants who have been rescued from abusive/dangerous/neglected situations. Lek is the founder, having bonded with an elephant from age 5 to 13, and making this her life work.

Motorbike!!!

Went to dinner with Shane, Shawn, Sarah, Air, and Johnny at Miguel's last night. The three S's went in a tuk-tuk, and I drove Air on her motorbike! It was my first time to ever ride a motorcycle successfully, and I could feel lots of fear in me during it. I was okay when just riding with no traffic around, but even then, a bit shakey when shifting gears. With traffic, I was like, eeeeep and wow. I had Air drive the last bit from Thai Pei gate to Miguels, because traffic on the square roads around the city can be a bit nuts.

Dinner was yummy; Air and I had veggie burrito at my suggestion. Then I had banana burrito for dessert. Other people got other things. Shawn told us about flying first class on Cathay over the Pacific. Could order any food he wanted at any time. Nice.
