Climbing a really big tree

In a hotel, I went from my room directly into the onsen area, and was there about 10 minutes when Fred came in from a tough day at school. He asked me about my day and I told him, but I didn't ask him about his day until he offered. Turns out he had had a rough time on the school bus, with its new type of seat belt, that was more like a cage than a seat belt. "They could see I had been crying, " he said, " so they put me into the seats near the driver, and they are seats with a gate in front that ensures people stay there. It was fun at first, but a few minutes down the road and I realized it hurt."

I checked the clock, and it was 4:50pm. I hadn't told the clerk what time I started, but decided it would be easier to tell the clerk we had started at 4:10, than to try to explain I started at 4:10 and Fred had just arrived. Went into the room and found the reception desk for the onsen and was trying to speak Japanese, "すみません、あの、１６時１０分から始まりましたんだけどう。" and I woke up.

First day Side Position

Today was the first day of my class with Dot teaching me and Natasha (who I met in Senshai's class, and who took the beginner class with Air over the last two weeks). Dot has a nice aura about her, and likes to chat about random things. Shawn figures she's trying to distract us from thinking too much while giving massage.

She just got back from a trip to Taiwan, so must be a bit tired, for while I was massaging Natasha, Dot fell fast asleep, sitting upright, but slowly slowly slumped over. I thought Max might come check on the class while she was sleeping, and wondered about a way to wake her up at the optimal moment. She woke up on her own, five seconds after Max appeared silently in the doorway. Not sure why or how she (unconsciously) knew. She looked a bit embarrassed and then tried to do something useful by waking up Natasha to see if I was applying the right amount of pressure.

I was; don't worry.

Foodage

After visiting Mint, Dah, Natalie, Shawn, and Shane in their classroom after class, during which we did some random physical exercises, including frog jumps (though they were calling the gorilla jumps (um, guys, I'm pretty sure gorillas don't jump, and if they do, I don't want to be around) for some reason) and I tested Natalie's gluteus timing (off) and trained her to get back to correct timing. (that was something I learned in the class with Trayl.)

Shawn finished up a massage with someone while Shane was two-stepping with Natalie, and Mint headed out to do whatever.

Ate dinner with Shane and Shawn after that and Shawn got me up to date on the latest (not so good) antics at ImmEco, including terribly dirty pool, being kicked out of their room (for which they paid ahead 1 month) for one night, and last night having to deal with ten drunken Aussie girls in the pool at 4am. Dang.

The food was good.

I met Kelsey yesterday during lunch. She's teaching at the university across the street from the vegetarian place I like. She's from Michigan, but has lived in OZ most of her life, I think she said.... Most amazingly, she's going to Tokyo in October, so maybe we will meet up! That's right around the time Colleene Beanie will be there; maybe they'll become fast friends. :-)

I've just uploaded 42 (more) pictures to Uncle Cow's site. Kinda slow doing them one at a time, but hopefully it will be useful in the end.

Also tweaked the about page a bit.
