Entries this day: Dream_KTRU Dream_massage Email_Audrey Lunch_with_Cat dinner Dream KTRU 4:33am ICT Thursday 22 July 2010 (day 14729) DJing at KTRU, I had gotten the next set set up, and ready fr the next show and then went to do something outside the station for a bit. The station was on the side f a hil in Thailand with traffic nearby but no one would really mess with it, so I left it unlocked. I got back and the next DJ was waiting and said in a very respectful way that it might be better if I at least trn off the microphone so outside noisw ouldn't go out over the air, and turn on "the blue light" to make the station look locked. I agreed, and looked in to my brain to swee why I hadn't done that, and I realized that it was that I didn't feel qualified to do that bcause it wasn't really my station, and then I realized, well if it's not mine, then I should better take better care of it. Hmm. I thanked him for his feedback and woke up. permalinkDream massage 7:19am ICT Thursday 22 July 2010 (day 14729) Near some wealthy women in Tokyo who were talking about their need for a massage, and I was like, "have you tried Thai massage?" and they were like, "what's that?" and then one of them was like, "oh, is that religious massage?" and I go, "it's not religious, but it is spiritual," and then they were getting on a train and had to go before I told them that I could give Thai massage. But I was a bit more optimistic about being able to give massage in Tokyo. permalinkEmail Audrey HI Audrey!!! Guess who's in Thailand for 3 months, taking Thai massage classes, largely on your implicit recommendation? Me! And I'm loving it here in Chiang Mai, with 2.3 weeks to go on my 3 month adventure! Guess who's across the hall from me in the school? Erin N!! At lunch, she was like, "I'm Erin," etc and then when she goes, "from Vancouver," I go, "Vangroovey; do you know Audrey H??" and she was like, "totally; we went to high school together!!" I did a little dance and ran out into the street in celebration! Whooo it worked! I know someone who knows someone!! She said you're instructing yoga now; awesome. Guess who lives on Koh Phi Phi, just 12 hours away from me? Paige D! I went to see her and her boyfriend last week. omg what an island! It's a bit too much party-time for me at night, but I sure loved exploring the jungle and coast during the day! I always hope you're doing well. :-) Thank you for being great and inspirational. In other news, my cute rabbit Francois is traveling somewhere on his own, so now I'm traveling with a Cow and Bear, each with their own websites: http://u.cow.fly2.nu/ http://abj.fly2.nu/ xoxoxoxoxo - Rob! -- Freestyle art and healing rob@robnugen.compermalink Lunch with Cat 1:10pm ICT Thursday 22 July 2010 (day 14729) Totally awesome conversation with Cat today at lunch. From her pov, awesome = the discovery that there's a women's version of Mankind Project, Woman Within. She had been talking about her partner and mentioned that he did MKP, and I was like, "mankind project?" and she goes, "mankind project," and I go, "mankind project??" and she goes, "mankind project," and I go, "me too! mankind project!" And she's like, "wow!" and before she could continue, I was like, "go do Woman Within," as if she knew what it was. She's like "what?" cause she didn't know what it was. "Woman Within, it's the women's version of Mankind Project," and she totally flipped to finally hear it existed, and wondered why oh why none of the men in MKP OZ were apparently talking about it, etc. Awesome. From my pov, awesome = her description of what I might be interpreting as "needy" in women is actually "trusting" in women. Argh; I can't articulate it quite yet. Nevermind. permalinkdinner 7:21pm ICT Thursday 22 July 2010 (day 14729) Went to dinner with Erin N, Natalie, and Raquel. Oh wait, not dinner, but ice cream at Bud's. Natalie and Erin were the most conversationally inclined, talking about yoga and India and yoga and Thailand and more yoga. I rather enjoyed listening to them, and got some ideas for next adventures. Hmmmm Tokyo? Hmmmm naw, not really interested. Hmmmmmmm. Money? Hmmmm. permalink |
