Byebye Jaime

Though she was a bit late getting out, I helped Jaime get packed (or she would have been super late) and to the station. She forgot a few items, including her jacket and rabbits, but we can send those later. Sad to see Chef Jaime go, but glad she's going to see her family for Christmas. Thanks, Jaime, for all the yummies, funnies, love and music!

Been cleaning and washing clothes, etc. Trying to get the house back to normal before Soness gets home. Got two m-sized piles for Soness to scope; she and Jaime are the same size, so there may be some clothes Soness wants / owns in Jaime's piles.

Late lunch

Had lunch with Soness at Pacific Deli. She treated me as thanks for my tech skillz on her site. Nice.

Afterward, we went to the Women's Center to get information on free Japanese classes in Chigasaki. I think my crapanese is a major factor in (not) getting a job.

After all that, I sat down to get some good coding done on math.pekoneko.com; I had implemented two of Travis's suggested changes last night (move beautify() outside the Answers class), and now was ready to do the next step (give Answers a customized Manager class).

Sat down to code and got an email from Lin inviting me to meet her tonight in Yokohama! Whoooo!! I was like, "I'ma try to get some coding done" and got just a bit done; the custom class is created and being used, but doesn't do more than just return the results of self.filter().

Soness started talking to Yuji again, and saying something about an earthquake (the one earlier today was apparently 6.4 or so) and was all nervous, and I was like, "dood no worries!" (I didn't feel one anyway) and asked Yuji to tell her the same. He did, and I told her I was going out with Lin tonight and may be back late / tomorrow, but probably tonight (but mayyybe tomorrow), but anyway, see ya!

Lin had her palm read yesterday and the guy was like, "you'll never have a problem having money, but you're not good at saving money." Today her entire bonus for a big sale went to her landlord for the bi-annual "renewal fee" (which is basically a Japanese thing where the landlord says "suck a nut" and people just pay it).

Lin's family had a bit of an issue this evening so she wasn't her usual self. We had a bit of a fight because I was more focused on music (hey, Nine Inch Nails!!) than on her family. Fair enough. I'm glad we had the fight and got that out of the way.
