Mr Van was my safe zone. I had gone to a rich girl's house and picked her up for a date.

My Dad's house was adjacent to some grouchy guy's house, who was like, "grouch grouch grouch" at my dad for no good reason. My dad just ignored him, but I decided to befriend him just to see what would happen. I went over to their back room and picked up his daughter who was really rich. She was drunk, though, because she wasn't happy, and was bored with her life, trying to get away from all the people trying to get her money. We were in Mr Van, chilling in a remote field; she was sleeping druunk in the front passenger seat and I was sitting in the front dirver's seat when a cop came up and was like, "you can't be here," and I was like, "actually it's okay; this is her land," and the cop was like, "who?" and I showed her who was in the passenger seat and she was like, "did you get her drunk?" "No; she was drunk before I picked her up; I don't drink at all," and I was glad to have a test, etc, and the cop went off to get a test and then I noticed in the trees a lot of criminals lurking around, killing each other for the chance to get access to the money, and I yelled to the cop, "you better get back here; it's not safe!!" and she ignored me, but then didn't come back, so I jumped back into Mr Van and was safe and woke up.

Glasses from Soness!!

wow Wow Wow!! Soness just got me glasses, because I lost mine about a year ago on the train headed home from work. I still wonder why they were never turned in. Did they turn out useful for someone else???

These are a cool blue, and 25% off the labeled price, which we didn't find out until the checkout clerk was like, "hey; wait; these frames aren't that expensive!!"

dinner with Lin and Sachiko

Great fun tonight with Lin and Sachiko at Outback Steakhouse. We laughed and barked and teased and played; it was just so much fun. Lin poured tons of pepper on her steak and Sachiko and I both were like wtf? Sachiko sent her steak back for more cooking, and Lin and I were both like, "of course you should have it the way you want it!" I continued playing the talking sugar stick game long after they both gave up and were in tears watching me play. Such great fun fun fun!

I was really surprised at how relaxed Sachiko was with me and Lin barking. hahhahahaha

lin to Yokohama

After we waved by to Sachiko near ドンキーホーテ, Lin drove me to Yokohama. We talked about child-rearing techniques (all still theoretical) and pros and cons of our current living situations. Tomorrow after she works, Lin will come to Chez Soness for Christmas party!!

1. submodules working in git

2. my django site to work at *all* (*).

(*) good morning. Okay, the problem (for me): in the Activating Models section of the django tutorial I like to use, the say put "polls" as the application name. If I do the equivalent, the SQL commands work, BUT the website does not.

note to self:

INSTALLED_APPS = (
    'django.contrib.auth',
    'django.contrib.contenttypes',
    'django.contrib.sessions',
    'django.contrib.sites',
    'myproject.polls'
)

I must have the project name as well as the application name on that line.
