Riding TJ Bike on the porch / sidewalk next to a building to go see Jesse at his school where I might be getting a job. He and the other teachers were laboriously moving some heavy futons and full mattresses down the steps from the school to clean and back up the steps to put in the school. The boss was there, a young guy wearing a green jacket of a general, and Jesse was telling him that one of the teachers was really disgusting with cigarette smoke, and probably shouldn't be allowed to be near the students.

One of the students asked how I met Jesse, and I said "we both used to work on the Metro line together," but she didn't hear me, or didn't understand.

New account

Got a new account set up for Soness's website. yay! Now I can begin development there instead of on my account.

I got it set up so that she has a good password and I can log in with pgp keys. Next steps are to check the version of Python and Django, install new versions if necessary, then work on getting drag-n-drop upload to work.

set up django on Dreamhost

1. get Python > 2.5.x

2. get Django

   • need setuptools
   • need mysql-python

3. get a hello django running

4. break it and check error to make sure we're running new Python version

5. go through Alex Kuhl's toot for ajax uploads

6. rejoice if it works

7. add django-user and userprofile

8. add on imagekit and photologue via mercurial

9. add in my git repo

Yay! Lin got off work early tonight, so we're going to meet in Kawasaki at 7pm. yahooo!
