Entries this day: magnets-havent-arrived-yet question-for-my-agent tld work magnets havent arrived yet 21:49 Wednesday 16 November 2016 JSTSpeaking of Home, I asked Lin if my magnets had arrived. They haven't. <dog_howling.gif> permalinkquestion for my agent 21:40 Wednesday 16 November 2016 JSTDear agent, when you are able to understand this question, can you let me know why Marcellus Wallace said "you leave town tonight, right now" to Butch in Pulp Fiction? Why "tonight, right now"? Was that in the script? Was it improvised? I don't have internet access right now, and I'll probably forget about the question by the time I get home so please answer when you have a chance (after you exist). Also, it might be entertaining to remind me that at the time I wrote this, I had no idea what I might call you. Will I give you a name like a person or animal? Interesting to imagine a future that's coming quickly or never at all. permalinktld 21:53 Wednesday 16 November 2016 JSTWow. We are happy to announce that Amazon QuickSight is now generally available in US East (Northern Virginia), US West (Oregon) and Europe (Ireland) regions! More details at https://quicksight.aws. Check out that TLD! https://quicksight.aws Yes, it's still cool. Did Amazon create that for themselves? I know Google did a few, but hadn't seen any other companies with top level domains. 10:25 Thursday 17 November 2016 JSTpermalinkwork 21:44 Wednesday 16 November 2016 JSTI worked three jobs today.. not full time shifts, but I worked for 3 distinct companies. First in Akabanebashi I taught the early lesson I usually teach on Mondays, but they moved it to today for some reason. Then I went to my programming job in Ebisu where I did a tiny bit of (unpaid) work while mostly preparing for PechaKucha. Then headed to JB where I taught for five hours. This is quite new for me; I was teaching 1 hour on Wednesdays for them, so this is a welcome change. It's not 5 times the pay, but it's definitely more, and definitely closer to home. permalinkprev day next day |
