Okay I just took a photo of a rainbow eclipsed by steam/poop from some orange/white painted smoke stacks. "Nice." (not nice)

Neat! The woman sitting behind Lin bought a cup of coffee with a cellophane plastic top through which she poked the straw to access the coffee. She put the cup in her cup holder and fell asleep.

Then we went up into the mountains and the pressure inside the cup gently squirted coffee out through the straw.

Neat! We're approaching a storm, and have sun behind us, so a rainbow in front of us. It appears very close because we're in a valley.

Lin and I just completed a small piece of art I titled Lin's Heart because it started with a heart shape which she drew in light blue. We took turns drawing on it. It's not exactly an exquisite corpse, because she chose the colors each time we drew on it, and we each only drew with one color at each swap.

I kinda want to make an art website; maybe I should re-start uploading to Tumblr, Canvas, and then post items for sale on the bitcoin one. (I wonder if it's getting more traction.)

The romanization of 新潟 gave me the naming idea.

It looks like we're in Niigata now, plus the announcement said the next stop is the last stop for this bus. I thought the driver said we'll be there by 13:30, so I guess we might be earlier than expected (or it's further from "last stop" announcement to the last stop than I imagine) (or both).

We're at M and H's place in Niigata.

The current plan is to go bowling, and/or see swans, and/or go to a shrine, and/or see the ocean, and/or see nature, and/or watch a movie, and/or eat at a buffet, and/or play magination, and/or take a nap.

We played with magnets and now taking a nap. They are; I'm not. I'm uploading photos and stuff.

We rented two movies: Transcendence with Johnny Depp, and San Andreas (Japanese title カリフォルニアダウン) with Dwayne Johnson.

Bought some food at a bakery, stopped by a bag outlet (that's apparently making enough money to buy the next lot and make bag outlet 2) where we saw some good bags, but none had all the features that I want:

• roller bag with
• easily replaceable wheels
• super strong handles
• super strong backpack straps
• computer pocket big enough to hold computer and books (total 10 cm thick)
• compartment big enough for my big shoes
• separate compartment for pens and toiletries
• waterproof

I'm having trouble finding more than 2 or 3 of these requirements in a single bag.

If it could double as a chair and have an awesome guarantee, I could forgo the backpack part, which probably makes it a lot easier to find.

After looking at bags, we went to a chinese restaurant where we got too much food for our own good hahaha.

stop futzin around

We stopped in a rest stop at 9:47, and the driver was like "gonna leave at 10 sharp so..."

So I bought a drink and headed back to the bus, and honestly got a bit panicked when I couldn't find it (because I hadn't carefully noted its location based on immobile surroundings. (okay okay I didn't really note the location based on anything but a vague angle toward the rest area entrance)). Thank you, old man, who beckoned me around the new buses which parked in front of our bus.

But Lin was still buying her drink and the timer was ticking 9:55:40 tick tock tick tock; she came on time, but she also got confused when she couldn't see our bus, but thank me, her husband, for standing where I could see her and the bus and holler "babychan!" when she started walking the same wrong way I had to evaluate the other buses.

We got on the bus with 90 seconds to spare. At 10:00, the driver got up, counted the passengers (twice, I think) as he walked up and down the aisle. 10:01 vroom vroom we're off, but the front middle passenger seat is empty except for a purse. Yikes.

(The title is in honor of Swa'vet (1975 (or so) ~ 2007 (or so)) who, while I was standing right next to her, said to me "stop fuckin' around and call me," much to my amusement given that she had just given me her number (and meant for me to call her later)).
