automatic gate immigration

Here is my QR code which apparently lets me through the immigration gate in a breeze. So nice that they have this service! On my way out of Narita, the lines to go through the human powered checkpoints were quite long compared to the lack of lines in the automated gates. Hmmm... so I went over there and they helped me get registered free of charge! The QR code is good until the passport or visa expiration date, whichever comes first.

Pretty good movie with reasonably understandable character-driven plot. I want more Tony Stark tech and quips but yeah good movie.

Dang I am too old for this, but I just go googoo seeing this cute flight attendant with braces. Top and bottom teeth.

I'm pretty sure I am projecting my crush on the character Sam from that old daytime drama The Facts of Life.

My inflight entertainment system rebooted itself and I got a few pics of the logs. Looks like it's running X Window on Linux. Seems reasonable. Weird that mine rebooted while it seems none of the others did. Do we each have our own virtual server?

We have begun our descent into Hong Kong; should arrive in about 20 minutes. I have about 90 minutes, I think. The last two years I made my way through security in about 45 minutes, so I should have about 45 minutes (well 30 minutes) to chill around the gate.

Made it through security pretty quickly; I had about an hour when I sat down at the gate. I tried to get wifi to work on my phone, but could not. It works on my computer, though.
