Entries this day: beginning-of-the-end-for-using-emacs-for-journal gave-dream-catcher-to-misato rode-bicycle-to-station beginning of the end for using emacs for journal 06:39 Wednesday 08 May 2019 JSTEmacs is great in many ways. I mostly use dired (Directory Edit) mode, including (bulk) moving and (bulk) renaming files. I no longer use it for mail, since mail does not live on my server. Hmm I wonder if ... hmmmm I will ask Fred since I think he still uses Emacs for mail. Emacs is great for creating these journal entry templates, and Marble Track 3 episodes and parts.. BUT, I do not yet know how to make Emacs do autocompletion which Atom does so easily. In the previous entry I referenced TJ Bike, and it would be cool to have that actually linked to a post or wiki entry on TJ Bike. permalinkgave dream catcher to misato 21:17 Wednesday 08 May 2019 JSTI felt really happy to hear Misato with her eyes wide, say "a dreamcatcher!" Seems like it was a good choice. permalinkrode bicycle to station 06:34 Wednesday 08 May 2019 JSTI rode TJ Bike to the bicycle parking lot today. This is the first time I have done so for work, given that we got our bicycle parking passes during Golden Week, and this is the first day that I have to work outside the house. I usually allow 24 minutes to walk leisurely to the station. Riding TJ Bike "leisurely" down a big hill, I arrived at the bicycle parking area in 8 minutes. Leisurely locking TJ Bike and walking to the train took 6 minutes. So it took 14 minutes from house door to train door. permalinkprev day next day |
