Entries this day: lesson-with-akiko-in-cocos new-top-page-of-robnugen.com studied-japanese two-lesson-at-scc lesson with akiko in cocos (written 23:11 Thursday 12 September 2019 JST) Akiko and I went to CoCo's for our language exchange today and she helped me figure out how the EOS tea business works. We each ordered drink bar for around 400 yen. As thanks for her business support today, I paid for hers. permalinknew top page of robnugen.com Curiously, the top page of my website suddenly stopped showing the latest blog entries. Last night I tried to get it working again or to at least figure out what happened, but I could do neither. Today, I realize it is a chance to just redo my top page altogether. Done is better than perfect, so let's get it done. permalinkstudied japanese There are probably errors in the Japanese notes below!日本語を書きたかったんだけど今日あまり書きなかった。 Today I wanted to write in Japanese, but I have not written much. 今日、明子さんはお茶の仕事の説明書を説明をしました。 Today Akiko explained the explanation for a tea business. 秋葉原のココズでドリンクバーを頼んで、英語と日本語も喋りました。 We ordered drink bar at Coco's and spoke English and Japanese. 明子さんの英語は私の日本語より上手から難し質問あれば、英語で聞きます。 明子さんの手書きはけれい。 Akiko has neat handwriting. 今各愛知電車で帰ります。 Now I am headed home on the local train. permalinktwo lesson at scc Had an hour lesson with Liliko, during which we double checked the English for an AI game they are developing. For some reason they keep asking for confirmation of stuff on paper but it has gotten to the point that we would prefer to see the real thing in action in order to really make sure it's all correct. Also had a lesson with Azusa, during which we clarified some of her translation into English, changing the word "become" into "because" and stuff like replacing "addition and multiplication are done by turning the handle outside" with "to add and multiply numbers, we turn the handle clockwise," partially because she could not consistently say "multiplication." It reminds me of the time I was out of time to do my speech in Japanese, and just read it off the page instead of knowing what I was saying. Today might be the last day I can shop at the nearby shop; their last day is Monday the 23rd. I may come back on that day to see if prices are slashed or what. permalinkprev day next day |
