Entries this day: bought-some-tracing-paper-at-sekaido got-my-new-bank-book no-lights-no-lycra write-kanji-during-japanese-lesson bought some tracing paper at sekaido I bought some A4 tracing paper and a B4 size wooden frame thing. I don't know what the frame is supposed to be (perhaps a wooden canvas) but I am going to use it to keep the A4 paper aligned as I do another Ink Baste Set. After working on my First Ink Baste Study I got The Idea that led me to know how to proceed with the next set. (Hopefully the tracing paper will act the way I want, or this might end up being another study.) Assuming the tracing paper bleeds through nicely, I will make the dots bleed through all the sheets in a torus-type manner so there is no beginning and no ending per se. I will attempt to do it without numbering the sheets. Or a simple thing would be to somehow keep track maybe of just one sheet as the anchor and the rest can simply stay in order. To display the sheets, they should be arranged in a circle with the leaves all facing the next leaf with nearly same dot pattern. 18 February 2020 JSTIt didn't work the way I hoped. The ink does not soak through the paper. permalinkgot my new bank book One great thing about banks in Japan is that they update my bank book for me. No need to balance a checkbook here! Well, there are no checks here, but that is a separate issue. Anyway, my bank book ran out of pages so I went to the bank to get a new one. I got in just in time before 3pm when they shut the door while I was waiting. Bingo bango done and on the train by 3:08pm. permalinkno lights no lycra I don't honestly know what lycra is, but I had fun dancing for an hour at No Lights No Lycra tonight. I was still bouncing to go after the hour but I did slow down for about 15 minutes near the end when the songs were a bit less bouncy. Glad they finished with a bumping song. permalinkwrite kanji during japanese lesson Today two (2) new students came to our table and I forgot to bring my handouts from last time, so we were short on handouts for a bit. To save making another copy, I copied the Japanese by hand in my notebook. On the way out of C-Hall, I saw Hazel, one of the two new students. (She's actually only in town for a minute so only planned to come two weeks. But next week there is no lesson so today was her first and last day.) I could not talk long, but we talked for a bit and I gave her my MKP Japan card. During my 1-on-1 lesson with Manami, she apparently read what I wrote and did not suggest any fixes so I guess I wrote it well enough. permalinkprev day next day |
