dream cleaning room then late for school

Cleaning my room, I found some dangerous chemicals like phosphorous from my days as an anarchist. Some of the phosphorous had spilled and I wondered how to clean it up. If only I had paid attention in chemistry, it would be easy with maybe some lemon juice or other household acids.

My alarm went off and I realized I was late for school! I ran into the other room while stripping off my pajamas to take a shower and then realized I would have to use the same undies again because I couldn't go streaking through the house after my shower and I didn't know where my clean clothes were.

I couldn't remember what class I was in first, nor what time it started. Was 9:45 late? Why would my alarm have been set so as to make me late? Lin and her mom heard me from the other room and looked over to see what I was doing. I feigned sleep/death (^) and she came over to see if I was okay (^) "Babychan! Babychan!" and then I leaped up to life and woke up.

fun meeting rie and carl for a few hours today

Rie and Carl came to our station to hang out after our first plan to do so was scuttled by Covid-19. We went to Kona Coffee (コロナコーヒー? haha) and gorged slightly while chatting. I had two banana smoothies and avocado loco moco. Pretty good, but one banana smoothie was enough.

Interesting to hear about Carl's work doing video editing. He and I also talked about video games and men's circle stuff a bit. He and Lin talked about their favorite horror movies (!). Great to see Rie and Lin super happy to hang out together.

working on my copy of micropub

The original author of micropub had some interesting code that allows the type of entry to inform which function to call to process the data. He had used it to deal with entries related to Twitter.

I'm using it to split out my specific customizations for my website robnugen.com, which will process my journal entries and my dream entries.

I had to make a couple of tweaks to Quill so I can tell Micropub whether I'm sending a journal entry or a dream entry.

During all of this I have not had to touch the OAuth parts of the micropub spec. I'm grateful for that separation of layers. It has helped make progress go much faster.

Next, I need to fix the dream entry processor to add paragraph tags with class = dream around each substantial bit of text in the body of the entry.

Then I want to adjust the front matter so it is in my preferred order and includes just my preferred items.

Oh and I definitely have to figure out how to get the tags working properly. My copy of Hugo doesn't know it's a dream without it having a dream tag.
