90 percent finished planning route

Yesterday I got the final 8 days of the walk re-routed along a flat river valley instead of climbing over mountains again. I did that because up to that point, I had several short segments in the mountains, to help ensure I can find a way around the tunnels through which I cannot safely walk (as they have no sidewalks in them).

In one case, there are Google Street View photos of trails going around the tunnels. In the case north of there, there is another tunnel just beyond Lodge Montoze. Street View shows paths near ski slopes to the "left" (west) of the tunnel, so I suspect I can use those to get around the tunnels.

I started walking after packing for my walk and once I got to the train station, I realized I forgot my tent so I had to go back and get it but wasn't sure if I would have time to make my train after getting the tent.

I wrapped a velcro strap around everything to hold it all together and was able to get the velcro to just reach around.

In preparation for my walk, I've been doing live streams on Reddit.

I've been doing them just about every morning from around 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.

during my walk which will start April 16th, I plan to do longer live streams from like 8:00 a.m. until lunch time, pending battery life for my phone.

so I'll probably do a long live stream tomorrow while walking maybe from here toward Shinjuku. Dunno how far I'll make it.
